had this guy in the works for almost 2 years now and he's getting close to being complete
this is Hardshell, an alien warlord that originates from the DEEP VOID. he's comprised of VOID GOOP, a unique form of VOID ESSENCE that was created as a result of the DEEP VOID's strange properties. he inhabits the body of Mighty the Armadillo.
Hardshell's main goal is control, simple as that. he does this through spreading the VOID GOOP he's comprised of into other beings. once this occurs, the being becomes what's known as a Descendant. the main objective of the Descendants is to spread VOID GOOP to any being nearby, sort of like a zombie. Hardshell is able access what the Descendants are seeing at any time (like a security camera), and even take control of their actions.
there's a whole big story based around this guy (which still isn't finished lol) and i wont get into the specifics but if you'd like to read what's there go check out his CONTINUED: Sonic Oddities page
here's a couple other miscellaneous things about him
- Hardshell's story is titled HARDSHELL: Ultimate Invasion.
- Hardshell's story takes place in an alternate dimension within the EXEVerse called ALT-Mobius-1610. another one of my EXEs called Ravager32X (my take on NormalCD) can actually be found in this same dimension as well.
- Hardshell has the ability to morph parts of his body into VOID GOOP, similarly to Venom or Carnage. this allows him to attack and grab victims more efficiently
- Hardshell was originally created as a retake of Almighty, one of Rightburst_Ultra's characters. i eventually
- Hardshell is incapable of speech, not even EXEspeak. he literally just doesn't know any languages lmao
- Hardshell can detect signs of life, but this is only once he's gathered a certain amount of Descendants. in the early days he doesn't have this ability
- Hardshell has no mouth. theres no lore reason for this being the case
- Hardshell can't actually run as fast as Mighty in either form, he's very unfamiliar with how to maneuver using a vessel seeing as he spent like 2000 years not being able to do anything except float around in space
- Some things related to Hardshell take inspiration from Marvel Comics' Ultimate Universe, such as Hardshell's story and all the chapters in it beginning with the word Ultimate, as well as the dimension his story takes place in using the number 1610, which is the same universe designation number that the Marvel Ultimate Universe uses.
